22. July 2026 | Planegg

The Thundercomm TurboX C6490 System on Module, integrated with the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 5G SoC QCM6490/QCS6490, is designed for embedded applications that require high processing performance, power efficiency and broad connectivity on a compact AIoT platform.

The 6nm processor architecture with up to 14 TOPS AI performance as well as Android 11 support, make the module particularly suitable for integration in handheld devices, industrial robots, service robots, drones and digital signage.

With support for 4K@60FPS video decoding and 4K@30FPS video encoding, Wi-Fi 6E with DBS, Long Range Bluetooth and five MIPI CSIs, the TurboX C6490 is suitable for systems requiring a combination of local AI processing, imaging, multimedia, and wireless communication within one embedded design.

The module itself provides a wide range of peripheral interfaces (incl. GPIO, UART, I2C, I3C, SPI, USB 3.1 and PCIe) while the available development environment also includes hardware interfaces and software SDK to support functional validation and fast prototyping. On system level, the platform supports display, camera, audio, debug and connectivity interfaces such as HDMI Out, HDMI In, USB, RJ45, SIM card, SD card, NFC and GNSS antenna integration.

With an operating temperature range from -30 °C to +75 °C, the TurboX C6490 can be used in AIoT and edge device concepts across demanding industrial and connected application environments, such as, for example, smart healthcare ecosystems.
