The new Thundercomm TurboX C8750 Development Kit is a high-performance platform powered by the eponymous Qualcomm Technologies processor, particularly designed to accelerate product development and support a wide range of advanced applications, such as e.g. smart cameras, video conferencing, automated manufacturing robots, collaborative robots, delivery robots, autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), urban air mobility (UAM), as well as edge computing solutions.
By supporting both Android™ and Linux, it provides powerful computing capacities, extreme edge AI processing, and robust video and graphics capabilities for IoT products with demand for advanced imaging, high-speed AI inference, and exceptional graphics rendering.
Complementing the kit, the Thundercomm TurboX C8750 SOM is a compact, highly integrated system-on-module, built on advanced 3nm process technology. Powered by Qualcomm Technologies’ next-generation Oryon™ architecture, it delivers up to 50% higher CPU efficiency and more than 10x AI performance boost with the 8th Gen Qualcomm® AI Engine. Supporting Android™ 15 and Linux with secure hypervisor-based virtualization, the SOM ensures flexibility, reliability, and robust data protection.
Its real-time 8K60 / 4K240 video decoding, multi-camera support, and enhanced ISP capabilities, make the TurboX C8750 SOM ideal for demanding edge AI and IoT devices such as AR/VR/XR platforms, AI-enabled gateways, industrial IoT systems, and premium smart home hubs.
