Teltonika Networks RUTC41 Router for 4G Edge Computing and Connectivity

04. September 2026 | Planegg

The Teltonika Networks RUTC41 4G Cat 4 Edge Router combines industrial cellular connectivity with local Edge-Computing capabilities for distributed IoT and network applications in e.g. industrial automation, energy infrastructure, smart city systems, retail, and remote monitoring.

With an integrated 4G LTE Cat 4 modem supporting data rates of up to 150 Mbps downlink and 50 Mbps uplink as well as additional 3G and 2G, the RUTC41provides reliable cellular connectivity options.

For local network integration, the router offers dual-band Wi-Fi 6 with data rates of up to 2,402 Mbps at 5 GHz and 576 Mbps at 2.4 GHz as well as one Gigabit-WAN- and four Gigabit-LAN-ports. The two Mini SIM slots and an integrated consumer eSIM with up to seven profiles support flexible and redundant cellular connectivity with configurable, automatic switching scenarios.

Thanks to the integrated Docker support, RUTC41 can run isolated applications, microservices, and project-specific software directly on the router without requiring an additional external Edge-Computing platform. The hardware foundation for local data processing, protocol conversion, and custom edge workloads is provided by a MediaTek dual-core Arm Cortex-A53 processor at 1.3 GHz, 1 GB DDR4 RAM and 8 GB eMMC.

RUTC41 runs on Teltonika Networks’ OpenWrt-based RutOS and supports industrial protocols, including Modbus TCP, BACnet/IP, OPC UA, DNP3, and DLMS/COSEM. The combination of multiple VPN technologies, cloud integrations, and Teltonika RMS enables secure connectivity, remote monitoring, configuration and management across distributed installations.

With its anodized aluminum housing, an operating temperature range from -40 °C to +75 °C, and 9 to 50 VDC power input, the RUTC41 is suited for challenging deployments in industrial or other demanding environments.
