LANTRONIX SMART MANAGED POE++ SWITCHES: SM24TBT4XPA and SM24TBT2DPB

The Smart Managed PoE++ Switches from our long-term partner Lantronix's portfolio enable the efficient connection and power management of IoT devices in smart buildings and can help to realize a more sustainable, simplified, smart infrastructure in buildings of all sizes.

Both the Lantronix SM24TBT2DPB Managed Gigabit Ethernet PoE++ Switch and the Lantronix SM24TBT4XPA Managed Gigabit Ethernet PoE++ IEEE 1588v2 Switch are also equipped with intelligent features designed to simplify the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and overall management of the complex network infrastructures in buildings for planners, system integrators and network engineers.

Lantronix SM24TBT2DPB is a managed Gigabit Ethernet PoE++ switch with 24 10/100M/1G ports with a power of up to 90W per port and two 100/1000M SFP/RJ-45 combo uplink ports for multiple, flexible power supply options with AC or DC power and a particularly large PoE power spectrum of up to 2160W.

The Lantronix SM24TBT4XPA Managed Gigabit Ethernet PoE++ Switch, equipped with twelve 10/100/1000M PoE/PoE+ ports, twelve 100M/1G/2.5G PoE/PoE+/PoE++ ports, and four 10G SFP+ uplink ports, enables the simultaneous power provision and connection of multiple IoT devices with different power demand.

The switches use PoE to power the IoT devices in buildings and support Energy Efficient Ethernet (IEEE 802.3az) for eco-friendly environments. This allows the switches to supply connected devices with power and data using a single CatX cable, reducing the demand for AC power and lowering overall power consumption thanks to automatic demand-based performance adjustment.

Both models also offer smart features such as automatic connection detection, interactive maps for managing and documenting installations, as well as built-in IP and cable diagnostics and an automatic power reset function capable of automatically restarting non-responsive devices without the need for a technician on site.

The reduced installation complexity of just one CatX cable allows greater flexibility in the positioning of connected IoT devices such as occupancy sensors, access control systems, surveillance cameras, lighting or temperature control devices and other applications in smart buildings.
