The Lantronix SGX 5150-MD is a versatile, secure, and IEC-60601 certified wireless IoT gateway specifically designed for the centralized management and compliance tracking of medical devices. Thanks to Linux SDK and Python runtime services, custom apps can be developed and deployed quickly.

In terms of connectivity, the SGX 5150 MD offers Wi-Fi Alliance and USB for wireless connections and bandwidth high-speed data processing. It also provides multiple interface options to connect to virtually any medical asset and supports legacy serial interfaces with single or dual RS-232 ports, USB 2.0 with host and device modes as well as Ethernet interfaces. The NDAA compliance and medical certifications (IEC60601-1-2 4th edition, FCC, EU RED) enable safe use near vulnerable individuals while maintaining protection of sensitive data.

By securely collecting relevant data on routine statistics or even life-saving patient information and providing insight into equipment performance and efficacy of patient treatments for authorized medical professionals from virtually any location, it allows for continuous, secure, and intelligent operation.
