Infrared sensors are widely used for movement detection. Asahi Kasei Microdevices (AKM) provides the infrared photo-diode (quantum-type infrared sensor) based on compound semiconductor manufacturing technology that was developed for magneto metric sensor products. The IR sensor IC integrates infrared sensor elements and other components such as a signal-processing IC.
